How the Favicon Checker works

The checker looks for the four favicon files every modern website should have at its root:

/favicon.ico — the universal fallback, required for legacy browser support
/apple-touch-icon.png — the 180x180 icon iOS uses for home screens and Safari pinned tabs
/favicon.svg — the modern vector favicon for crisp rendering and dark mode
/site.webmanifest — the PWA manifest linking all icon sizes

What a good score means

80–100: Excellent. Your favicon setup is complete.
40–60: Needs work. Some platforms will show a generic icon.
<40: Critical. Fix this now; favicons appear broken.
